Reasons and Fixes for the SASSA Bank Verification Pending
SASSA grants and loans each have their own specific rules and conditions. One thing they all require to receive payment directly into your account, however, is a valid bank account.
Why are my SASSA bank verifications pending? Since the SRD or other grant payments are deposited directly into the applicant’s account, SASSA carefully checks the bank details. This process can take several days to complete and then transfers the cash to your account. So if there is a pending in the bank details verification, it means you have submitted the wrong documents, or there is something missing.
SASSA Bank Verification Pending Reasons
The following are the reasons that my delay your payment method verification.
Dormant Account ( Inactive Bank Account)
I have noticed that many applicants use the dormant bank account (a dormant bank account is one with no customer-initiated activity (deposits, withdrawals, or transfers) for an extended period, typically 12-24 months) as a payment method, due to which the SASSA doesn’t verify your banking details and keeps it on hold. That’s why you have to provide an active bank account to verify the payment quickly and on time.
Inaccurate Bank Account details
The second reason is that the beneficiaries make mistakes while providing the account details in the branch code, account type, and account number. It’s recommended to verify the details before submitting them to SASSA.

Name mismatch
Most users also make mistakes in the names. The name on their SASSA application doesn’t match the name registered with the bank. And if the names do not match, the SASSA will reject your grant and will delay issuing payment.
Technical delays
Apart from the above reasons, the banks may also take time to process verification requests, especially during high volumes, because SASSA is a government program that has almost beneficiaries in lakhs, so it takes a while for banks to verify each and every person’s identity.
System errors
If there are technical errors, these temporary glitches between SASSA and the bank’s systems can cause delays as well.
Important Note
All the applicants must ensure that their details are accurate and match their bank records, which usually resolves pending verification.
